Will replacing a motherboard affect my use of software that has product activation? - product activation 8007007f

Should I replace my mother in a home machine. This machine has a lot of software that "activated" for use with this single machine, such as Windows, Adobe Acrobat, Norton. Will my software still work on the machine? How does product activation unique identifier that knows what a team? Is it the motherboard?

ID is a hardware hash.
If you change the motherboard, you need to reinstall Windows.
Then install any software.
Hardware hash will be different.

The only exception is if you replace the motherboard with the exact same model and version.

I'll be honest, I do not know for sure, but a few months, I upgraded the memory (I have to add another 256) and one of my programs need an activation code. If this happens after installing the new motherboard, it must not be a problem. I call the number for customer service, answered some questions and gave me a new activation code.

Very good question ... It can be summarized in a number of things that the MAC address of the network, for example. If you have installed a license for the software, you need a way to migrate, if necessary, and the operator will be able to help you determine whether there is a problem. But in this case, I bet there is only a registry entry somewhere in the use, or a central file. I do not think that there are no problem. But if you do, then find the suppliers and tell them what you've done and be able to help.

Good Luck

As far as I know, as long as you replace the hard drive, nothing will have problems with them replacing the motherboard. The data is stored on the disk, nothing more. Vital not.

However, you need to update drivers / new drivers compatible with the motherboard.

No ....

All the configuration software installed on the hard disk and registry.

You can even install the drivers for your motherboard components.

Technically, you can reinstall the motherboard, and only an old hard drive and install drivers plate butt on it. Only in Windows98 SE, I have tried to do in XP, but I can not do much more, with the amount of views is not it?
